To retract the hose, simply give it a short, sharp pull (approximately 2-4 inches), and it will automatically retract. Should you need to interrupt this process, simply pull the hose again. To deal with tangles inside the reel, extend the hose to its full length and then allow it to retract smoothly as you walk it back to the reel housing, enabling the self-layering mechanism to properly organize the hose.

Leaks at the interface can be prevented by using the two included seals, which can be replaced, and by wrapping Teflon tape around the connection.
